Maureen Brandt is our Receptionist

The first person that visitors see, Maureen has been employed at Carrington Place for 11 years and thoroughly enjoys her role greeting everyone to our home, as well as assisting residents, visitors and staff with any questions they may have - or even just to smile and to say "Good morning!"

Stephanie Hartman, our Dietary Supervisor

In addition to several years cooking experience, our Dietary Supervisor, Stephanie Hartman, is a graduate of the Food Service Nutrition Management program. This is a highly regarded diploma course, given by the Canadian Healthcare Association of Ottawa. Membership to the CSNM ( Canadian Society of Nutrition Management ) requires such a diploma. Stephanie takes great pride in belonging to the CSNM, and her work reflects the Societies standards for excellence. Our skilled cooks prepare home-style meals to be served in an elegant dining room. The menu offers a variety of choices with a focus on fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and made from scratch entrees and desserts. Residents' input is important to us, and they are encouraged to make suggestions regarding the menu. Individuals with special dietary requirements are easily accommodated. Every effort is made to tailor the menu to the likes, dislikes and nutritional requirements of each resident.

Lynn Gledhill, our Activity Director

Welcome to the Activities Department at Carrington Place Retirement Residence.  Our departmental philosophy is a person centered approach to recreation and leisure.  Time is taken to get to know each resident on a one to one basis.  This allows for personal discussion regarding how each resident likes to spend their leisure time.  We encourage our residents to participate in all our regularly scheduled activities and to apply their own personal strengths when doing so.  From helping a fellow resident play bingo, to singing along with our many weekly entertainers.

Lynn Gledhill has recently completed her degree in recreation and leisure therapy at Brock University.  She combines her theoretical knowledge with her life experience to bring a fun but age appropriate activity program to Carrington Place.  Lynn is always open to new ideas and suggestions from residents and family alike.

 Nicole Dupuis, Physiotherapy Assistant

Nicole has been our physiotherapy assistant for the last 2-1/2 years and has come to us after completing the OTA/PTA diploma program at Mohawk College.

Nicole has gained experience through her clinical studies in long-term facilities, hospitals, and private clinics. She has a therapeutic rapport with our residents, focusing on their physical well being, and sincerely enjoys her time spent here at Carrington Place.
