At Carrington Place we want all of our resident’s and their families to feel at home. The move in process can be an exciting but difficult time for some resident’s. Our staff will make the transition as stress free as possible. You may want to come in for a tour and complimentary lunch with your family to see everything we have to offer. You will meet with our nurse for a one to one visit. This is a great time to discuss any questions you have about your medical needs and medication administration. After that visit we will give you some paperwork to take to your family doctor to fill out. You will need a chest x-ray to test for tuberculosis. We will meet with you and your family to complete some administration paperwork. We then book a two week trial where you come to stay with us in a furnished room with cable and phone services. All meals, housekeeping, laundry, nursing care and activities are included. Bring your clothes, toiletries, medication, books etc with you and let us take care of the rest.

Once the two-week trial is complete. If you are interested in a permanent residence you will sign a tenancy agreement. You will bring your own furniture and arrange cable and phone services if desired. We provide window coverings or you may bring your own. We provide a daily towel service and bed sheets for your convenience.

We accept post-dated cheques dated for the first of the month. The rent and care will be increased annually at a minimum amount.

If you have any questions about the move in process or to arrange your own personal tour and complimentary lunch please contact our Community Relations Director Jeanine Lavallee at (905) 648-0343 or j.lavallee@carringtonplaceretirement.ca
